Examples of Custom Automotive Stamped Parts Manufactured
Manor Tool creates a variety of custom automotive stamped parts, including brackets, catalytic converter components, structural parts, and exhaust components. For one of our customers, we produced a 4” steel dimpled annular, an exhaust component, using our progressive die stamping capabilities. Our precision tooling was able to achieve tight tolerances of ±0.002”, and we now produce 12,000 parts per year for this customer.
Stamping Materials
Manor Tool works with a diverse array of materials to fulfill the varied needs of OEMS in the automotive industry, prioritizing each material for its unique properties and application suitability. Depending on the type of material, we can stamp workpieces with thicknesses ranging from 0.005” to 0.500”. Here is an overview of the most common metal materials we use and their applications:
- Aluminum: Favored for its formable, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant attributes, aluminum is predominantly used in automotive brackets.
- Brass: Brass is popular for its corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, ideal for creating fittings.
- Carbon steel: Known for its strength and cost-effectiveness, carbon steel is widely used in structural components and brackets.
- Stainless steel: With exceptional corrosion resistance and strength, stainless steel is chosen for exhaust parts and trim pieces.
- Nickel alloys: Known for their robust strength and heat resistance, nickel alloys are selected for high-performance applications.
We also stamp automotive components using the following materials:
- Beryllium Copper
